Overnight paving on Highway 261 in Shelby County will start Sunday

ALDOT is scheduled to start paving, weather permitting, at 8:00PM Sunday, October 26 until 6:00AM, Monday morning. The northbound lane of Highway 261 from Old Town Helena to US 31 will be closed during this time. The paving will continue for four consecutive nights.

Motorists are requested by ALDOT to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama's roadways.
