Update: Cause of death confirmed in house fire case

We now know the identity and cause of death of the person who's body was found after a house fire in Hueytown.

32-year old Dana Lynn Smith died from smoke inhalation Tuesday. Flames tore through her house on Edwards Street. Firefighters responded to the fire just after 10 a.m., but were unable to rescue Smith.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
