ALCS Game 4

The New York Yankees are on the verge of elimination in American League championship. It's because of the lack of hits! On Tuesday night in Detroit, the Tigers' ace Justin Verlander essentially shutting down the "Bronx Bombers". He gave up a home run in the ninth.  The Tigers won 2-to-1. Detroit leads the series 3 games to none.  Game four is Wednesday night in Detroit.

George Zimmerman Trial Date

A trial date is set for the man accused of killing seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin. George Zimmerman's attorney says trial starts June 10 of next year.  Although he claimed self defense, Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. Prosecutors say Zimmerman racially profiled Martin. Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty.

Maine Earthquake

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake shook a big part of New England Tuesday night.  The U.S. Geological Survey says the epicenter was about three miles west of Hollis Center, Maine. But it was felt in Vermont, New Hampshire and eastern Massachusetts, even as far south as Rhode Island and Connecticut. The ground in New England is colder and older. Which experts say allows the vibrations from an earthquake to travel further. No aftershocks were reported.

Bristol Palin DWTS

"Bristol the pistol" misfired. She was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. She and actress Kirstie Alley were in the bottom two. After getting booted off the show, she opted not to talk to reporters. That's something that rarely happens on the show.
