Restoration of three historic covered bridges in Blount County is almost complete.

A ribbon cutting at the west end of the Swann Bridge is set for 11:00 Monday morning, then traffic will be reopened for the Swann and Easley bridges.

A third bridge, the Horton Mill Bridge will remain under construction for another 30 to 45 days. The Horton Mill Bridge is located just north of Oneonta.

The brdiges, which date to the late 1920's, were closed to vehicles after a safety inspection in 2009.
