Oologah and Grove Win State Softball Championships - ABC 33/40 - Birmingham News, Weather, Sports

Congratulations are in order for a couple of our Green Country fast pitch softball teams.

Oologah's Hunter Jeff was dominate on the mound striking out eight Piedmont batters and the Mustangs run-rule the Wildcats 10-0.

Oologah wins the Oklahoma Class 4A State Championship.  It's their seventh overall and their first since 1999.

In Class 5A, It was much tighter for the Grove Ridgerunners.   They score a run in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to edge the Fighin Chicks of Chickasha... 3-2.

It's Grove's third state title and their first since 2000.
