Pay Day Loan moratorium extended until June 19, 2013

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

Pay day loan businesses hoping to set up shop in Birmingham are going to have to wait awhile longer.

Birmingham City Council, Tuesday, extended a moratorium on those businesses until June 19, 2013. It was originally set to expire in December.

Councilors say they need more time to study the businesses and learn what kind of impact it truly has on the community.
