Juvenile in custody after Saturday shooting incident at Trussville theater

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a person who shot into an occupied vehicle and then hid the gun.

The incident happened Saturday, October 13th, near the Trussville Regal Theatre.  A Jefferson County deputy, who was working an extra job at the theatre, heard gunshots.  He was patrolling in the parking lot when he heard the shots fired.  The deputy observed a male running after a gray Nissan Pathfinder.  The deputy stopped the male and the vehicle.  The car's right rear window was shattered.   Trussville police arrived and assisted Jefferson County in the investigation.

Police found the shooter's gun in some shrubs of the theatre parking lot.  The suspect was transported to Juvenile Detention unit in Jefferson County.
