UAB football promises changes vs East Carolina

Garrick McGee says it's time for UAB football to take the next step.

"I've watched us lose five games the exact same way," McGee said on Monday. "I'm not interested in continuing to do the same exact things and getting the same exact results."

The Blazers (1-5, 0-2) try to change the script against East Carolina Saturday night at Legion Field. Kickoff is set for 6:05 pm.

UAB gave up 23 unanswered points to the Houston Cougars to begin the 2nd half in last weekend's 39-17 loss.

"Things have to change," McGee said. "There's going to be a lot of change within our team. There's going to be some change within our coaching staff and the way we do things."
