Pro football legend to be honored in Tuscaloosa

Tuscaloosa football legend and former NFL wide receiver, John Stallworth will be honored in Tuscaloosa Tuesday, October 16.

Stallworth will be recognized by representatives of the Pro Football Hall of Fame during a ceremony at Central High School beginning at 1:00 PM. This is part of a program called "Hometown Hall of Famers."

Stallworth, an Alabama A&M University alumnus and fourth-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers, was a four-time Pro Bowl selection. His career featured 537 interceptions for 8,723 yards and 63 touchdowns. He went to four Super Bowls during his 14 years in the NFL. Stallworth was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
