Squirrels to blame for power outage at some Birmingham businesses

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

An Alabama Power representative said squirrels were to blame for several businesses in Birmingham losing power early Thursday afternoon.

The outage, which lasted a little over an hour, affected a small section of Birmingham including Jefferson County Courthouse and Birmingham Museum of Art.

All power has since been restored.
