Vestavia Hills church opens pumpkin patch

The fall season kicks off with the opening of the annual pumpkin patch at Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Vestavia Hills. Nearly 3,000 pumpkins line the front of the church off Columbiana Rd.

The pumpkins cost $1.50 to $14, depending on the size. All proceeds benefit the Mexico Mission Team, which plans to travel to the country in the spring of 2013 to build houses and teach to children.

The address for the patch is 2901 Columbiana Road, Vestavia Hills.
