Voters approve Birmingham's $150 million Bond Referendum

The $150 million bond referendum vote passed on Tuesday night with ease as all six items on the ballot received no less than 78 percent "Yes" votes.

The six bond items on the ballot, (percentage "Yes" votes) and proposed money allocation:

  1. Solid Waste (80%) $6.3 million

  2. Park & Recreation (80%) $20 million

  3. Street & Sidewalk (83%) $48.7 million

  4. Industrial Park (79%) $19 million

  5. Building Facilities (78%) $45 million

  6. Sewer Issue (80%) $11 million
