Michael Robbie Tucker, 22, is accused of striking his mother with a board. Michael Robbie Tucker, 22, is accused of striking his mother with a board.

A 22-year old man is in the Jefferson County Jail, accused of hitting his mother over the head with a board that had nails in it.

Sheriff's deputies were called to a house in the 8200 block of Vine's Place in Concord Tuesday morning to investigate a report of domestic violence.  When they arrived at the house, they found a woman and her husband, bleeding from the head.

The woman told deputies that her son, Micahel Robbie Tucker, 22, had called and asked to come to her house. When she told him no, he reportedly became upset and showed up anyway.

The woman's husband reportedly tried to stop the suspect from entering the house, when the suspect began hitting the man.  According to the Sheriff's Office, the woman tried to stop the fight and her son struck her in the head with a board that had nails in it.  After that, deputies say the suspect hit the man again, but this time, with a metal candle holder.

Tucker was not on the scene when deputies arrived; however, he showed up as they were taking a report.

The suspect told deputies that his mother's husband had started the fight and he was only defending himself.

Both victims were treated by paramedics on scene.  Their injuries are not considered life threatening.

As for Tucker, he is facing a Domestic Violence Assault 2nd Degree charge.
