It's Tee Time for Miles College

Posted: Updated:

On Friday, October 12th Miles College will have its 16th Annual President's Cup Golf Classic. The President's Cup benefits the Miles College Scholarship Fund and will be held at the Highland Park Golf Course. Shotgun will start at 8:30 AM. Each participant will receive unique golfer items, and exciting new prizes.

In past years, there have been anywhere from 86 to 100 players participating in this tournament, which has included a Miles College student team. "This is an opportunity to increase donations which increases the number of scholarships that we are able to provide to our students", says Frank Topping, Director of Institutional Planning and Development at Miles College. The Miles College Golf Tournament Committee is chaired by avid golfer, Jarvis Patton who sees this as an opportunity for golfers to give back to the community.

This is the first year that the golf tournament isn't taking place during Miles College Homecoming week.
