Narcotics agents seize $200,000 worth of meth, arrest illegal immigrant

Etowah County, AL -

An illegal immigrant is locked up in the Etowah County Detention Center charged with trafficking drugs-- 3 pounds of meth. with an estimated value of $200,00. Authorities called the pure, uncut meth " high-end".

20-year old Hector Vasquez of Mexico was arrested in Marshall County after a 3 week long investigation. Meth was seized in Etowah and Marshall Counties, and expected to be distributed across East Alabama.

If convicted, Vasquez faces between 10-99 years in prison. He is being held on $500,000 bond.
