TUSCALOOSA - AL -
Twenty-five
people have been arrested in Tuscaloosa on drug-related charges. The West Alabama Narcotics Task
Force executed ten search warrants on residences starting at 5:55 a.m. Sunday
morning. By the end of the roundup, twenty-five suspects were arrested on a
total of seventy-one charges.
Drugs,
weapons, and money were found and recovered by authorities. More suspects are
still trying to be to be located.
The
Narcotics Task Force was assisted by the Tuscaloosa Police Department's Crime
Suppression Unit, Tuscaloosa
County Sheriff's Office, and Northport Police Department.
Sgt. Brent Blankley with Tuscaloosa Police says additional information will be released Monday.
