Local hospital donates beds to Guatemala

Huntsville - AL -

Hospital beds are on their way to Guatemala thanks to the Huntsville Rotary Club.

With the help of nearly 20 volunteers, 53 hospital beds rolled off delivery trucks and inside a warehouse at the Huntsville Airport.

The beds are from Hartselle Hospital, a $300,000 donation.  The beds are for sick patients receiving treatment in Guatemala.  The club is planning a trip to the small Central American country in the spring to dedicate the new hospital beds.
