WOOFStock is coming to Veteran's Park in Hoover on Saturday October 13

WOOFStock is the City of Hoover Parks and Recreation Department's annual event for pets and their humans. The event is Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Hoover's Veteran's Park. Proceeds benefit qualified non-profit pet rescues.

Veteran's Park is located on Valleydale Road and will host this community-wide event. There is no admission fee but those attending will have an opportunity to purchase food, buy from vendors, play at the Kid's Fun Zone and even have your caricature done for a small donation. There will also be a silent auction area and donations will be taken at the booths of your favorite rescues.

The Mayor will be on hand to do an official welcome and to kick off the day's festivities. The stage will host a blessing of the pets and many pet contests.

Pet and their humans can shop at pet related vendors, view homemade arts and crafts, listen to music and enjoy great food. Entertainment wil also be available by the Bama Air Dogs and "Weenie" dog races.

We encourage you to bring your chairs and come out to Veteran's Park in Hoover for a great day at the park.

Remember, all pets should be well mannered and properly vaccinated to attend this day of fun. Those not complying may be asked to leave.
