There will be a meeting Thursday night at Gardendale City Hall to tackle a wild hog problem.
Mayor Othell Phillips says there have been several reports of wild hogs on properties from Tarrant Road to Snow Rogers Road. The hogs are apparently coming up from a nearby valley.
A representative from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System will meet with Gardendale residents to discuss what to do if they see a wild hog.
