Jeffco Sheriff asks for public's help in finding young woman's killer

Two weeks ago, the body of 22-year old Antanisha Dawson was found dumped in the North Smithfield community.  She had been shot.  Police have yet to find her killer.

Dawson was known to friends and family as "Neisha". She was last seen alive the night of September 18, 2012 at the home of her boyfriend on Timberline Trail in the northeastern part of Jefferson County.

Dawson's body was discovered the next afternoon at the dead end of Pope Lane in North Smithfield. She had been shot in the head.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, there is little known about what transpired during the hours in between the last time Dawson was seen and when her body was found. She may have gotten a ride with someone from the area of Highway 79 and Valley Crest Drive. 

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this case to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at 205-325-1450 or Crimestoppers at 205-254-7777.
