Birmingham Police are investigating a crash scene Monday morning after an overnight chase left a family of three dead. Police say suspects driving a white SUV are still at-large.
Birmingham Police Spokesperson Sgt. Johnny Williams tells ABC 33/40 reconstructionist have spent a large portion of the morning investigating the crash scene at Minor Parkway and Highway 269. So far, they've learned the suspects were driving east on Minor Parkway, ran a red light and struck the family.
A Jefferson County deputy was injured after his car flipped over into a ditch nearby on Lexington Road. He is recovering from his injuries.
ABC 33/40 will update this story as more details on the crash becomes available.
