Update:
Sources tell ABC 33/40 that the chase began in Dora and continued into the Birmingham area, involving several different police departments. A Jefferson County Deputy's vehicle was damaged during the chase.

After the crash that has left 3 people dead, the suspects ran from the vehicle and are being chased on foot.

ABC 33/40 crews are on the scene of a fatal wreck following an apparent police chase.  It happened just after 8pm.

Details are still coming into our newsroom, but our crews have learned that two adults and one child were killed.  Sources close to the investigation say they died when the suspect's vehicle hit their car.
