Attempt to pawn stolen jewelry leads to meth arrest

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies arrested and charged Casey Buse with Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, Burglary 3rd Degree and Receiving Stolen Property 2nd Degree.

It is believed that Buse stole jewelry from a residence in the 2600 block of 2nd Place NW and was seen attempting to pawn/sell the jewelry by a relative of the victim.   It was discovered that the suspect and others were at a residence in the 2500 block of 2nd Place NW and were possibly manufacturing methamphetamine.

Deputies went to this residence and located Buse, three other people, and found drug related items including chemicals commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine. Buse was also found to be in possession of property taken during the burglary.

Buse was taken into custody and is being held on a $110,00 bond.
