ANNISTON - AL -

A partnership between FEMA and AmeriCorps produced 231 FEMA Corps graduates at Anniston's Center for Domestic Preparedness. The grads will be used to enhance  the country's ability to respond to disasters.

Two of the graduates are from Alabama with one being from Anniston and the other from Calhoun County.

FEMA Corps was established following a record breaking year for federally declared disasters in 2011. The graduates range from 18 to 24 years of age, and for the next 10 months will respond to disaster and recovery scenes.
