Child struck by car in Pelham

PELHAM - AL -

Pelham police are investigating a child that was struck by a car on Friday morning.

According to a release, a 10 year old female was attempting to cross the road when she hit the side of a moving car. Her injuries are not life threatening.

The accident happened around 6:15 a.m. on Helena Road and Sumersby in Pelham. She was taken to a local hospital, by ambulance, from the scene.

It is unknown if the driver of the car will face any charges.
