The Birmingham Police Department has charged a man in connection to the robbery of O'Reilley Auto Parts at 260 Gadsden Highway.
Johnny Effinger, 31, of Birmingham, has been chargd with first degree robbery and is currently in the Jefferson County Jail on a $250,000.00 bond.
Officers arrived to investigate the robbery on Wednesday afternoon, and were able to gather information on the suspect and his vehicle. East Precint officers located the vehicle with three occupants inside on John Rogers Drive. As they approached, the suspects fled on foot, but Effinger was caught and taken into custody.
He was later identified as the subject involved in the robbery.
