Police arrest Baton Rouge man in LSU bomb threat

A Baton Rouge man has been arrested in connection with the bomb threat on the campus of LSU earlier this week.

William Bouvay Jr., 42, will be charged with communicating false information of a planned bombing and is currently being held on a $1 million bond at the parish prison.

Authorities said Bouvay could face other charges.

According to LSU Police Captain Cory LaLonde, investigators were able to track the location of the cell phone used in the threat to a Baton Rouge neighborhood, eventually identifying Bouvay as a suspect  Upon questioning by authorities, he admitted to making the threatening call.

LaLonde also said Bouvay was not an LSU student and appeared to have no connection to the school.
