Arrest made in Friday homicide

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

The Birmingham Police detectives have arrested and charged 33 year old Emil Chapman of Pinson in connection with a Friday, September 7th murder. 35 year old Antonio Rivers was found shot in the head and chest at Westbury Apartments on Avenue S in Bessemer. He died Saturday, September 15th at UAB Hospital.

Detectives traced the suspect to a location in Hoover and he was arrested by Hoover Police Tuesday morning. A Capital Murder warrant has been obtained against Rivers, who is in the Jefferson County Jail.
