Alabama senior Barrett Jones and Auburn senior Philip Lutzenkirchen have both been selected as members of the 2012 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
Only 11 Football Bowl Subdivision players were recognized as student-athletes that have shown a commitment to volunteering in their communities. A total of 117 nominations were sent in from 35 states, and a panel selected two 11-member teams -- one from the FBS and one from all other divisions.
"These 22 student-athletes stand out from hundreds of other college football players who volunteer their time each week to make an impact on their teams, and in their community." said Grant Teaff, AFCA Executive Director.
