Interviews for finalists for Jefferson county school superintendent continue Tuesday through Friday.
Tuesday afternoon at 2:00, the school board will conduct an interview with Brett Stanton. Stanton is with Haralson county schools in Tallapoosa, Georgia. The interview is open to the public and a reception will follow beginning at 3:15.
The scheduled interviews for the remainder of the week include: Dale Robbins, retired associate superintendent from Gwinett County Public Schools on Wednesday, Dr. Julie Hannah, state department of education Director of Student Learning Office on Thursday, and Dr. Karyle Green, East Allen county Superintendent from New Haven, Indiana on Friday. All interviews are at 2:00 p.m. each day.
Monday, the Board interviewed Dr. Stephen Nowlin, superintendent of Lee County schools in Opelika.
The Jefferson county board expects to make a final decision in early October. Superintendent Dr. Phil Hammonds is retiring in February.
