Olympic gold medalist Shaun White was arrested in Nashville over the weekend. He faces charges following an incident that occurred at a Nashville hotel.
White's wild night started at the Loews Vanderbilt hotel just after 2 a.m. Sunday. According to police, White was a hotel guest, and was "extremely intoxicated" when he allegedly pulled the fire alarm forcing the evacuation of all
guests.
An employee claims he saw white destroy a hotel phone. Police say White then attempted to flee the hotel in a cab.
When a witness prevented the cab from leaving, White allegedly kicked him and took off.
White was taken to a hospital for his injuries and was released Monday afternoon.
The Olympian is now charged with vandalism and public intoxication. White's court date is set for October 10th.
