A large training exercise, "Operation Raging Winds" will be held Tuesday along Alabama's coast to prepare for hurricanes and other emergencies.
The training will include beach patrols and helicopter rescues, using equipment near Perdido Pass in Orange Beach, and is expected to be finished by Tuesday evening.
Organizers are trying to get the word out that this activity is a training exercise and is not a real emergency situation, as thousands or visitors are still in the area.
Conservation officials, emergency management, homeland security, and public safety agencies are all involved in the exercise.
