A Tuscaloosa family is mourning the tragic loss of a 4 year old girl.
Xy'Kel Williams was hit by a vehicle while crossing Martin Luther King Boulevard near 33rd Avenue with her mother late Friday evening.
Family and friends have created a memorial of balloons and cards at the location. Xy'Kel's grandmother told ABC 33/40 they are still coping with the tragedy and do not yet understand exactly what happened.
Tuscaloosa police are expected to release details of the investigation Monday morning.
