The Mine Safety and Health Administration has identified the miner killed in the accident at Drummond Company's Shoal Creek mine on Tuesday as Julius Walker, III, 28, from Center Point.

Walker was killed after being caught between a power center and the mine rib during the moving of a spare longwall power center.

He was given CPR while being transported from underground, but was pronounced dead after being brought to the surface.

This is the second fatality at the Shoal Creek Mine this year.
