Attention drivers making your way through Fairfield overnight and in the early morning.
For the next four nights, starting at 7PM each night, one Westbound lane of Interstate 59/20 will be closed all night for construction work. That's between the Academy Drive Exit in Bessemer, which is Mile Post 108, to just east of the I-459 Interchange at Mile Post 106.
Those lanes should open daily around 6AM, just in time for rush hour traffic to travel through.
