McCarron throws for 4 touchdowns, Alabama shuts out Western Kentucky

Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron threw for four touchdowns and linebacker C.J. Mosley led the defense with 11 tackles and a sack to shutout Western Kentucky 35-0.

Alabama finished with 328 total yards on offense, forced four turnovers and committed only one penalty in the win.

The Hilltoppers gained 224 yards of offense on the Crimson Tide, but three fumbles and an interception proved to be costly as three of the turnovers led to 21 points for Alabama.

McCarron finished 15-20 for 225 yards to go along with his scoring plays.  Eddie Lacy led all Tide rushers with 36 yards on nine carries.  True freshman Kenyan Drake had the only rushing touchdown when he raced 32 yards for a score near the end of the game.

Alabama moves to 2-0 on the year with a road trip to No. 8 Arkansas next up on the schedule.

Injury note:  Junior running back Jalston Fowler left the game in the 4th quarter with a left knee injury.  He was carried to the sideline by trainers before being carted off to the locker room.
