Tar balls have been found on Alabama's beaches in the wake of Hurricane Isaac's landfall last week. Workers in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are seeing significantly more tar deposits on the sand than before Isaac. The tar is weathered, old and is not considered dangerous. The tar may have broke off from large, submerged mats left from the BP oil spill. Tests have not yet to confirm whether its linked to that or something else.
