BIRMINGHAM - AL -

Flooding caused some road closures in the Birmingham area..

Police shut down-- Pike Road at Avenue-"U" and 23rd-street.

Barricades were put- up to block the streets.

But water receded as the day went on, and the roads were re-opened by evening rush hour.
