Former Auburn player Heath Evans to raffle Super Bowl ring for charity

Posted: Updated:

Heath Evans, a former fullback for Auburn University, is doing his part to help victims of sexual abuse.

Evans is putting his 2009 New Orleans Saints Super Bowl ring up for raffle and donating proceeds to Celebration Hope Center in Louisiana -- a faith-based, non-profit that provides outpatient services to victims of sexual abuse.

The ring features sixteen diamonds surrounding the face, which represents the Saints' 16 wins during the 2009 season.  Forty-four more diamonds circle the entire ring to commemorate winning Super Bowl XLIV (44).  The ring is reportedly worth $10,000.

Each raffle ticket costs $2, but a minimum of five tickets must be purchased to enter.  Deadline to enter is September 17 at Noon.  For more information, visit www.netraffle.org
