Crash kills Wedowee teen, driver airlifted to Atlanta hospital

RANDOLPH COUNTY - AL -

A 17-year-old from Wedowee was killed and two other teens were injured during a single-car accident Friday afternoon.

The crash happened at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Randolph County 256, three miles north of Wedowee. A 16-year-old was driving a 2007 Ford Mustang when it overturned. Brittany M. Duffey, 17, was killed and the driver and another passenger were ejected from the car.

The driver was airlifted to Atlanta for medical treatment and the other passenger was transported to a local hospital for their injuries.

Alabama State Troopers are continuing to investigate.
