After years of partying, tanning, drinking, and hooking up, M-T-V is pulling the plug on "Jersey Shore."

According to M-T-V's Remote Control Blog, the show's sixth season will be it's final summer at the beach.

"Jersey Shore" made history as the highest-rated series ever on M-T-V.
The final season for Jersey Shore premiers October fourth.
