According to the Associated Press, on Friday, September 31st, a "rare blue moon" will appear in the sky. The blue moon occurs when there's a second full moon in one calendar month.
Coincidentally, the occurrence is set to happen on the day of a private service for Neil Armstrong.
The next blue moon will not appear again until July of 2015.
