Gadsden woman arrested for cashing a forged check

Sommer Carter

Sommer Carter, of Gadsden, was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of Second Degree Possession of a Forged Instrument. Carter was paid $35 for work she had done and before cashing the check changed the amount to $85. Once the check cleared, the victim realized the change and notified law enforcement.

Carter was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $2,500 bond.
