Curfew in effect for parts of Gulf Shores

GULF SHORES-AL -

Although the Hurricane warning has been lifted for Gulf Shores, a curfew is in effect for certain areas as Hurricane Isaac makes its mark on the coast.

Because of the storm surge and flood threat, the Laguna Key area of West Beach is closed at Callaway Pass Bridge.

The City of Gulf Shores is enforcing the curfew in restricted areas beginning at 8 pm Tuesday through 6 am Wednesday.

Police will patrol the restricted areas and will stop and escort anyone on the roadways out of the area.
