Partners for Clean Air have issued a code orange air quality alert for Jefferson
and Shelby Counties for Friday August 24.
As a
reminder on alert days you can car pool or take the bus. Do all your errands in one trip. Try not to travel if you don't have to. If you must drive, avoid idling for long
periods of time. Wait until after 6PM to
fill up with gas. Hold off on mowing
until a better air quality day. Don't
burn leaves or trash.
