Hoover man is first to get gator in Mobile area gator hunt

The gator hunt is on, and hunters in the Mobile are have already bagged more than a dozen of the reptiles.

A Hoover man got the first gator in Saturday night's opening of the season. Chris Williams says it was the first time he had ever hunted alligators.

Seven of the alligators that were caught were longer than 11 feet. One was over 13 feet long.
