Northport Police and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office need the community's help locating a man who confessed to murdering a 73-year-old woman.
Northport Police received a tip that a person confessed to committing a murder on the 600 block of Bridge Avenue in Northport. Officers were dispatched to search the area of which the tipster described and found a 73-year-old female murdered inside her residence.
Based on information gathered thus far in the investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for 33-year-old Julius Ervin Cockrell. Cockrell is described as being 5'10" and approximately 260 pounds.
