TU Football Unveils Future Opponents

University of Tulsa Director of Athletics Ross Parmley confirmed today future TU football opponents through the 2017 season. Ohio State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are on the Tulsa schedule at least once over the next five seasons beginning with the 2013 campaign.
 
"We feel that our future schedules are shaping up to be attractive for our fans and competitive for our football team," said Parmley. "Bill (Blankenship) and I agreed the that the Ohio State game is a great opportunity for our team and fans to play at one of the most prestigious programs in college football history. Naturally, we would like to keep Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in our scheduling plans as well, especially with return trips to H.A. Chapman Stadium."
 
This year's season-opening opponent, Iowa State, will make the return trip to Tulsa next year, while Tulsa will complete its' home-and-home series against Bowling Green with a road game in 2013. The Mountain West Conference's Colorado State Rams will visit Tulsa in 2013 before Tulsa returns the trip to Fort Collins, Colo., in 2014, while Oklahoma is back on the schedule in 2013 as well.

Tulsa plans to renew a home-and-home series with New Mexico of the Mountain West Conference in 2015, and returns to Norman to face the Sooners that season as well.
 
The 2016 campaign has the Golden Hurricane traveling to Ohio State and Fresno State with a home-and home series against Toledo beginning that season. The Fresno State contest is the return game from the Bulldog's trip to Tulsa this year. Road games at Toledo and Oklahoma State and a home contest against New Mexico are slated for the 2017 campaign.
