Jackson outbids McCartney - ABC 33/40 - Birmingham News, Weather, Sports

In the music video, Say, Say, Say , it was Beatle Paul McCartney raking in the cash.  The duet was recorded with Michael Jackson.

On this day, however, in 1985, it was Jackson who had the final "say." He outbid McCartney for the ATV Music Publishing Catalog which included many Beatles songs.

The price paid on that day, $47.5 million. Today, some says it is worth half a billion dollars.
