Miles College has issued a statement regarding the hospitalization of three members of its football team. The incident, which ABC 33/40 first told you about Thursday, occurred at practice Wednesday.
According to the statement, the team was going through a light conditioning workout "without padding or equipment" when three student/athletes required medical attention.
Three players were transported to a local hospital suffering from heat exhaustion. Two of the players were released and the third is still in the hospital and, according to the release, is listed in critical condition.
